About Me

Born in Sicily, she is a fine art photographer whose practice is deeply rooted in a visceral relationship with light, the sea, and the landscape of her origins.

Her artistic research unfolds across three interconnected dimensions: the introspective exploration of self-portraiture, the conceptual investigation of nature, and the material transformation of the photographic image through analog collage. Moving between photography and other forms of visual expression, she explores themes of identity, memory, impermanence, transformation, and fragility.

Her work is distinguished by a strong painterly sensibility and a particular attention to texture and materiality. Images are often treated as surfaces rather than fixed representations, becoming spaces in which photography, memory, and matter intersect. Through this approach, the intimate experience becomes a broader reflection on the human condition.

Her work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions, including Fontana e quelli di Franco Fontana. She has received international recognition, including an Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards (IPA) and multiple nominations for the Fine Art Photography Awards.

Her photographs have been published in photography magazines, including Gente di Fotografia, and featured in publications such as Il corpo solitario: l’autoscatto nella fotografia contemporanea, edited by art critic Giorgio Bonomi.

One of her works is held in the collection of the National Archive of Photographic Self-Portraiture at MusInf in Senigallia, Italy.
