About Me

Nata in Sicilia, vivo in Veneto. Inizio a sperimentare come autodidatta, poi seguo alcuni importanti workshop fotografici.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Photography is my main tool of expression and I usually work with it digitally but lately also printing and processing it, tearing and/or adding other materials such as water, coffee-tea and other naturally dyed paper. These blends have been the focus of my last work “Krisis”.  My point of view is poetical and sensorial, being the works meant to convey my deep emotions and urgencies. My conceptual basis is built on self-portrait as a means of self-exploration and link with nature, beauty of natural forms and harmony of shapes. I usually love light neutral colours, natural light and make large use of negative space. When I work with landscapes my aim is to remind me of how I felt there, so they are not descriptive but rather dreamy childlike memories.
